Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course

Situated amid the expansive green spaces of Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, New York City, Van Cortlandt Golf Course, America's oldest public golf course opened in 1895, is a historic municipal facility offering an accessible and classic urban golf experience.

This timeless layout, a favorite of legends like Babe Ruth (with a hole named in his honor), has hosted countless notables and even served as a filming location for scenes in Oliver Stone's 1987 film "Wall Street". Enhanced by a lakeside clubhouse, practice areas, and subway-accessible convenience, it remains a beloved daily-fee staple for golfers of all backgrounds.

Commissioned by GOLF NYC in partnership with NBC Universal, this project was part of a broader initiative to photograph and film all nine of GOLF NYC's municipal golf properties across New York City. The goal was to deliver a cohesive visual identity and consistent look and feel across the portfolio while highlighting each course's unique character, positioning Van Cortlandt Golf Course, along with its sister facilities, as must-play public golf destinations in the New York City area.
