Douglaston Golf Course

Situated at the highest point in Queens, New York City, Douglaston Golf Course is a historic municipal facility renowned for its sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.

Originally opened in 1927 as the private North Hills Country Club (designed by Willie Tucker) and converted to public use in the 1960s, it features a renovated layout by Stephen Kay (2004) with seven par-3 holes, rolling tree-lined fairways, a signature carry over water on hole 5, practice areas, and a redesigned clubhouse.

Commissioned by GOLF NYC in partnership with NBC Universal, this project was part of a broader initiative to photograph and film all nine of GOLF NYC's municipal golf properties across New York City. The goal was to deliver a cohesive visual identity and consistent look and feel across the portfolio while highlighting each course's unique character, positioning Douglaston Golf Course, along with its sister facilities, as must-play public golf destinations in the New York City area.
